The UC206N line array loudspeaker integrates 3 acoustic ways and operates in bi-amplification. The low-mid section comprises two 6.5″ loudspeakers with compression loading.
The mid/high section is a 5″ Neodymium coaxial assembly + 1″ compression driver loaded by an exclusive APG ISOTOP15TM waveguide. The UC206N is the long-throw cabinet of the system
Uniline Compact line array (see also UC206W, UC115B and UC118i). The APG Isotop acoustic loading consists of an active annular and isophasic horn whose impedance matching and resulting compression achieve efficiency levels comparable to those of traditional compression drivers, but with significantly increased bandwidth and power handling.
The 5″ loudspeaker is used over an extended midrange frequency band (450 Hz – 5 kHz), which provides a unique quality of sound reproduction in the vocal band, guaranteed with very low levels of distortion. The compression driver delivers great finesse up to 20 kHz. The design of the front horn allows the integration of compression and mechanical protection functions for the 6.5″ units, as well as constant directivity control from 250 Hz. The rigging system and the variety of mechanical accessories provide unlimited mechanical modularity for both fixed installation and flown applications.
