The upper part of the spectrum is reproduced by a 1.4″ compression driver integrated coaxially and therefore perfectly aligned physically with the woofer, which generates a particularly linear phase response. This specific configuration, used by APG since 1990, gives the iX12-O a 90° conical acoustic dispersion maintained beyond 10kHz. The APG iX12-O loudspeaker features an anti-diffraction baffle which gives it excellent phase linearity. This results in virtually constant conical directivity. The iX12-O is characterised by its high SPL-to-size ratio and a particularly extended low-frequency response, delivering highly precise sound reproduction quality for both vocal and musical applications. The iX12-O has an impedance of 8 ohms. It can also be integrated into 70/100V line systems thanks to an optional 100W or 200W transformer (T100/T200 option).

Ergonomic, the iX12-O offers all the functions and options suited to fixed outdoor installations: an aesthetic trapezoidal format, Speakon-type connectors, and a moisture-resistant surface treatment that allows water run-off. M8 metal inserts allow it to be fixed using various accessories for horizontal or vertical mounting or for adjusting the speaker's tilt.
