Like other «DX» type loudspeakers, coaxial technology and acoustic baffling guarantee a particularly coherent and linear acoustic field with a substantial reduction in diffraction phenomena. The acoustic coverage is conical over a 110° angle. In the case of the DX5, the tweeter is physically aligned with the bass driver, resulting in a highly linear phase response.

The DX5 is characterised by its ultra-compact size and acoustic performance, both in terms of power and sound reproduction quality. The ergonomics are comprehensive: a 30° bevelled edge for close-up floor placement, a 45° bevelled edge for further-away floor placement, a pole mount for microphone stand installation, and protected, concealed connections for discreet cabling. Metal inserts allow mounting on the ETDX5 bracket for fixed installation or hire use.
