The mid/high frequency section is a 5″ Neodymium coaxial assembly + 1″ driver loaded by an exclusive APG ISOTOP15™ waveguide. The APG Isotop acoustic loading consists of an annular and isophasic active horn, whose impedance matching and resulting compression make it possible to achieve levels of efficiency comparable to those of traditional compression drivers, but with significantly increased bandwidth and power handling.

The 5″ loudspeaker is used over an extended midrange frequency band (450 Hz – 5 kHz), which provides a unique sound reproduction quality in the vocal range, guaranteed with very low distortion levels. The compression driver delivers great clarity up to 20 kHz. The front horn design integrates the compression and mechanical protection functions of the 6.5″ drivers, as well as uniform directivity control for all acoustic sections, providing either a wide dispersion for the UC206W loudspeaker or a narrow dispersion for the UC206N. The rigging system and variety of mechanical accessories provide limitless mechanical modularity for both surface-mounted and flown installations.
